Clean the Golf Yard Progression Systems Map

How cash, Fragments, badges, passes, and UPD 3.5 fit together.

Progression Guide

Progression in Clean the Golf Yard is intentionally simple on the surface and surprisingly deep once badges, passes, pets teasers, and UPD 3.5 beach content enter the picture. This page is the systems map: what AverageGuyStudios confirms on public Roblox surfaces, how the loops connect, and which numbers you should still verify in the live shop instead of memorizing from screenshots.

New players should still open Getting Started for the first-hour route. Come here when you want the wider structure.

Progression at a Glance

  1. Collect golf balls across the available play area.
  2. Sell / deposit the haul for cash.
  3. Upgrade pickup radius, value, speed, abilities, and equipment.
  4. Redeem codes for Fragments that skip slow tiers — see Codes.
  5. Chase badges and leaderboards while optionally buying Game Passes.
  6. Complete the first map on Easy to unlock UPD 3.5 beach sorting.

Solo and co-op are both supported. Public text does not guarantee shared cash, inventory, or badge credit, so each player should watch their own UI.

The Confirmed Economy Loop

Collect

Collection is the input. Official listing language highlights pickup radius and better equipment. Community clear guides describe ~35,000 balls on the classic range — details in Clear All Balls. Unusual-looking balls should not get invented rarities; only label specials you can verify in-game (Magnet, Rainbow, Shard).

Sell

Selling converts balls into cash. Exact per-ball values and every sell-point location are not fully published in the Roblox description. Follow on-screen prompts after InstantSell style purchases.

Upgrade

Upgrades, abilities, pickup radius, and equipment are named as distinct systems:

  • Radius — how close targets need to be
  • Equipment / tools — BiggerHand through GolfKart and later collectors
  • Abilities — active slots on 1 / 2 or D-Pad (Abilities guide)
  • Other stats — speed, value, capacity as shown in live panels

Use the upgrade tier list as a decision aid, not as immutable datamined truth after every hotfix.

Fragments vs Cash vs Robux

Milestone Layer: Badges

Published badge names mark 10, 1,000, 10,000, and all-ball clears, plus a mystery badge and a disabled owner badge. Full table: Badges guide. Badges are motivation and proof of mastery; they are not a separate currency.

UPD 3.5 Layer: New Map and Mode

After Easy completion on the first map, the NEW MAP + NEW MODE event adds beach cleanup with bin sorting. It sits beside — not instead of — the classic loop. Prep checklist and schedule notes live on UPD 3.5 patch notes.

Decision Framework (No Official “Best Build”)

Pick the upgrade that removes your current time sink:

  • Aiming feels slow → radius / PullBalls / magnet tools
  • Trips end too fast → capacity / Caddy / backpack passes
  • Travel dominates → speed / GolfKart / robot passes
  • Burst windows matter → ability power and cooldown (Abilities)

Re-test after patches using Earn Cash Fast and the Upgrade Calculator.

What Remains Undocumented

Public official data still does not fully publish:

  • Complete free upgrade trees with every price forever frozen
  • Exact ability damage formulas
  • Pet hatch odds and luck stacking rules
  • Numeric requirement metadata behind Collect ALL Balls
  • Beach-mode scoring and whether it becomes permanent after the event window

When something is undocumented, this wiki says so instead of inventing a spreadsheet.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do you progress in Clean the Golf Yard?

Collect balls, sell them for cash, reinvest in upgrades and equipment, redeem codes for Fragments, and chase badges or Easy completion for UPD 3.5 content.

What should I upgrade first?

There is no single official order. Remove your biggest bottleneck — usually early radius and cheap tools like BiggerHand before expensive karts.

Are pets part of progression?

Pets are teased and appear in Game Pass names, but full free odds and perk trees are not completely published yet.

Does co-op share progression?

Not confirmed. Assume each account tracks its own cash, upgrades, and badges unless the live UI shows sharing.

Where do Fragments fit?

Fragments are premium currency from codes and some rewards. Spend them on high-impact upgrades before cosmetics.

Is UPD 3.5 required for badges?

Collection badges exist on the classic loop. UPD 3.5 adds beach mode after Easy; it is not described as a badge reset.
