Clean the Golf Yard Equipment Tier List

Tractors and tools ranked S through D for maximum collection speed.

Last updated:

Equipment in Clean the Golf Yard changes how you traverse the golf course and how many golf balls you collect per second. Tools and tractors are cash-heavy purchases — buying the wrong tier early drains progression momentum. This UPD 3.4 tier list ranks every major equipment class from S to D, including when to buy, minimum upgrade thresholds, and what to skip.

S Tier — Mega Collector

Mega Collector sits at the top of the meta for leaderboard farmers and long-session cash grinding. It combines wide auto-collection footprint with fast movement across fairways, turning high pickup radius stats into exponential clears.

Buy when: Pickup radius and sell value are near late-game caps from upgrade tier list; you can afford the price without delaying A-tier tractor for more than one session.

Skip if: You still run default radius — Mega Collector underperforms Turbo Tractor dramatically without stat support.

Synergy: Pair with Slot 1 radius abilities on hazard pile-ups tractors cannot angle into.

A Tier — Turbo Tractor

Turbo Tractor is the sweet spot for 80% of players. It costs materially less than Mega Collector while delivering most of the speed and collection width needed for efficient laps.

Buy when: Mid-tier radius + sell value complete; you farm repeatable fairway loops under three minutes.

Why A not S: Income per Fragment hour often peaks here — saving for S tier while refusing Turbo Tractor delays compounding returns.

Multiplayer note: Assign Turbo Tractor players to long north/south lanes per Multiplayer guide.

B Tier — Standard Tractor & Pro Mower

Standard Tractor is the first true vehicle upgrade most accounts should target after handheld tools. Pro Mower suits players who prefer on-foot hazard precision before committing to tractors.

Standard Tractor buy when: Radius reaches mid tiers from Upgrades guide; cash flow stabilizes after codes Fragment spending.

Pro Mower buy when: You need hazard coverage before affording Standard Tractor; sell after tractor purchase.

Upgrade path: Standard Tractor → save → Turbo Tractor. Do not re-upgrade Pro Mower indefinitely.

C Tier — Hand Cart & Basic Mower

Hand Cart adds modest inventory QoL; Basic Mower widens on-foot collection slightly. Both bridge starter gear to B tier.

Buy when: Only if a specific price breakpoint blocks saving for Standard Tractor one session — otherwise skip.

Sell mentally: Treat C tier as disposable; do not Fragment-invest beyond one tier.

D Tier — Starter Rake

Starter Rake is default equipment — smallest radius, slowest clears. Replace immediately with first affordable tool upgrade or skip straight to radius stats if cash tight.

Never: Hoard cash to “max Starter Rake” — zero long-term value.

Equipment vs Upgrade Priority

Equipment multiplies stats; it does not replace them. Minimum recommendations before major buys:

Equipment TargetMin Radius TierMin Sell Value Tier
Standard TractorMidEarly-Mid
Turbo TractorHigh MidMid
Mega CollectorHighHigh Mid

Use Upgrade Calculator if borderline.

Fragment Spending on Equipment

Occasionally the Fragment shop discounts vehicles. Rules:

  • Never Fragment-buy D or C tier.
  • Fragment subsidy on Turbo Tractor is excellent value events.
  • Mega Collector Fragment price only worth it if cash price delays rank push by days.

Details: Fragments guide.

Platform Considerations

Controller and mobile players benefit more from wider auto-collect tractors (A/S tier) because precision pickup is harder than PC mouse paths.

Equipment Traps to Avoid

Buying tractors before radius — feels fast, collects little.

Skipping Turbo Tractor for direct Mega grind — hours of suboptimal income.

Keeping Pro Mower at endgame — role replaced entirely by A/S tractors on open fairways.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is S tier equipment?

Mega Collector is S tier — the best endgame vehicle for wide fast collection.

When should I buy my first tractor?

After mid-tier pickup radius and early sell value upgrades. Standard Tractor is the first B-tier vehicle.

Is Turbo Tractor worth it?

Yes. Turbo Tractor is A tier and the best balance of cost and performance for most players.

Should I upgrade the Starter Rake?

No. Replace Starter Rake immediately — it is D tier with no long-term value.

Do tractors use the same controls?

Yes. RT on controller, E on PC. See the controls hub for details.

Can Fragments buy equipment?

Sometimes during Fragment shop events. Prioritize income stats unless a tractor discount is active.
